About Us
- Located in Summit County, Ohio (Akron), the Summit Freewheelers is the area's leading bicycle racing club—the largest promoter and sponsor of bicycle racing in the area!
- Focused on bicycle racing, fitness, and cycling safety, we are a developmental racing club.
- With over 70 members, we include men and women ages 14 to 80, beginners to experts, and cyclists who just like to ride fast.

TrainingThe Summit Freewheelers is a developmental racing club. This means we focus on helping members develop basic cycling and racing skills as well as provide training opportunities for expert level racers. Some members simply work on developing their fitness and handling skills, while others follow rigorous training schedules. See more about our training rides and programs on the Training Page. MembershipOur Club provides members with an opportunity to race, train, and just ride and shmooze with lots of other cyclists. In addition to these rewards, there are other benefits of membership in the Freewheelers—many of which are made available by our generous sponsors. |
