Fall Challenge – Thanks Becca!

9/26/2005 by Ted Ingraham

The Fall Challenge Road Race yesterday was our last big event of 2005 and it was the best Fall Challenge ever! We had a record turnout, a great race, and – most importantly, it was very well marshaled and officiated. I want to thank Becca Blice who ran this year's race for a job well done! Putting on a race like this is a ton of work that starts months before with basic planning and then builds to a frantic pace by race day. Becca put it all together but she couldn't have done it without the great support she received from club volunteers. As a racer I was especially impressed with how many marshals we had and the excellent job they did making the course safe for the racers. It was obvious the marshals knew what they were doing and had received good pre-race instructions from Becca. Thanks for all the hard work, Becca!

Yesterday's success enabled the club to send a $300 donation to the Cuyahoga Falls Katrina relief efforts for D'Iberville, Mississippi. Thanks to all the racers who came out to participate! I know the racers enjoyed the race. Complete results will be posted to the website this week. Now, if we can only get CF to pave the road before next year!
