I'm looking for volunteers to help out with the Road Runner Akron Marathon on October 2nd. The organizers have asked me to round up cyclists that would be interested in riding with the lead runners of the many different categories. The task is pretty easy: at the 19.5 mile of the race a cyclist will join the lead runner from each category and ride in front of him/her, bearing signage indicating which category the runner represents, to the finish at Canal Park Stadium. The purpose is to give the spectators an idea of who is running through in the lead for the last portion of the race.
