Our annual awards banquet is scheduled for Friday January 10th. Surely we will all over eat and undoubtedly some will drink too much too. As a result, we have scheduled an indoor training session for Saturday January 11th at 9:00am at the Cuyahoga Falls FOP Lodge. This is the same place that we met last year in February (2002). The easiest way to get there is to take Route 8 to the Steels Corners exit. Coming off route 8 Northbound you will make a right onto Steels Corners (east) you will take this to the light (Sheetz gas station on the corner). You will turn right and proceed nearly a 1/2 mile (flashing light) and the FOP lodge will be on your left hand side, look for all the cars with bike racks!!
What are we going to do at the workout session? First we will view a Team Tactics racing video with discussion (about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on how lively the discussion gets) afterwards we ride to a spinervals workout tape (about 45 minutes) and then we will do fit kit work and possibly play with Racermates. For those interested we will also be willing to help you determine your maximum heart rate too. For this you will need to have a heart rate monitor and a cycle computer that can read speed while on a trainer (rear wheel pickup) or rollers (front or rear wheel pickup). All Club members are invited. You will need to bring your own bike and trainer (and of course riding gear, don't forget your shoes!). We may have a few extras but try to bring your own. If you can't make it don't fret as we have another session scheduled for February.
