I know this story is going to sound a bit cheezy, but I was hoping that the club might understand my excitement.
My favorite website is "The Daily Peloton" http://www.dailypeloton.com. They have some really good writers who give a unique view different from the cycling magazine websites. They also have a chat room, which seems to be empty whenever I check. At least it was until yesterday.
I had this question burning in my head. What is a tifosi? I kept seeing the word, but didn't know. I wanted an immediate answer so I went into the chat room, hoping someone could help. Sure enough, there were two people there who immediately answered my question. I guess it literally means "the faithful", but in essense, it is a fan.
Little did I know that the person who was answering my question and bantering back and forth with me, accusing me of using clif shots as icing for my poptarts, was none other than Tom Irvine, owner of the Prime Alliance team. WOW!
What a thrill. He was really cool and I got to find out some things that are not public knowledge yet about his team and a few other US teams. I'd tell you what he told me, but then I'd have to kill you.
